One of the most successful players in MSPL history with a career haul of no less than 26 titles, this former singles champion and 3x winner of the Premier League Best Record leads by example and is a player that can be relied upon to deliver in pressure matches.  Recently became the No.1 ranked played in the MSPL

Paul Hitchen (Vice Capt) – Potters ‘B’

Hitch closed the 2009 Interleague season with the second best record for Mid-Sussex.  Previously ranked as high as no.5 in the MSPL, Hitch is an iceman under pressure and an exceptional shot maker as proved by “that black” against Bognor Regis last season.

Vince Skinner – Weald ‘C’

A key member of a Weald ‘C’ side who have just come off the back of their most successful season in recent years.  Ranked no.13 in the league, Vince has been Mr Consistency for the Weald over the last few seasons.  Also finished highly in the Horsham player standings.

Dean Cave – Mother Lovers

A former Singles champion and 3x Doubles winner amongst other successes, Dean is the joker of the pack who packs a punch both on the table and verbally.  No nerves and is as good a one-frame player as we have in the squad!  Class act!

Gary Larouche – Weald ‘C’

One of the most experienced members of the squad having played Interleague under the ‘Superleague’ banner over 15 years ago. This former doubles winner with four league titles to his name is a welcome addition to the 2010 MSPL squad.

Craig Gillingham – Con Pulsers

The reigning Mid-Sussex Masters champion and former doubles winner, Craig is one of our most experienced players who also plays in the Brighton League and for the Sussex County ‘A’ side.  Ranked 5 in the MSPL.

Ed Davey – Potters ‘B’

One of the younger less experienced members of the MSPL Interleague squad, but don’t be fooled into thinking this makes him any less valuable.  Ed is a fantastic clear-up merchant who is a rising star in the league. A top talent who doesn’t look out of place alongside the more experienced players.

Shaun Southon – Weald ‘C’

The elder statesman of the squad with two league titles to his name when playing in the St. Francis ‘A’ side of the 1980’s and the current holder of the Premier Division Best Record, Shaun shows age is no barrier and oozes class on the table. One of the most naturally talented players ever to grace the MSPL.  Bordering on genius at times.  Expectations are high.

Martin Holland – Mother Lovers

A former doubles champion and 4x TKO winner, Martin is the man you want playing at the business end of matches where bottle and composure are key. A brilliant team player.

Gary Goodman – Hassocks Hotel ‘M’

The youngster of the squad has immense potential and can be deadly when in amongst the balls.  Has recently risen to no.8 in the MSPL rankings.

Sean O’Riordan – Talbot ‘A’

Another new signing for 2010, the 4x (and reigning) MSPL Singles Champion and former junior international has experience and class in abundance.  Can justifiably claim to be one of the most naturally gifted players in the history of the league.  26 winner’s titles in the MSPL for this all-time great says it all.

Dom Ridley – Mother Lovers

A former Singles runner-up and 4x TKO winner, Dom is capable of beating anyone on his day.

John Norris – Talbot ‘A’

Another new entrant to the MSPL Interleague squad for the 2010 season.  Being an ever-present and key member of the all-conquering Talbot ‘A’ side of the last couple of seasons, big things are expected from John. With two league titles to his name and six 101+ titles under his belt, he easily has the ability to make the step up to Interleague level.  Recently risen to #6 in the MSPL player rankings.

Paul Friend – Mother Lovers

A former singles champion and 3x doubles winner, ‘Trigger’ is known for playing some unorthodox pool at times.  This makes him no less deadly and regularly makes monster clearances that he has no right to make.  Currently ranked 4 in the MSPL, Paul is a class act and had the best record for the 2009 MSPL Interleague team!
